CFEL is based in Hamburg, Germany under the direction of Prof. Henry Chapman. He leads a team with expertise in developmental setup to data analysis. He is one of the leading scientists in the XFEL area, (www.cfel.de).

Prof John Spence is the director of BioXFEL and is one of the first leading groups in XFEL science. BioXFEL is based in Arizona in the USA. The team leads fundamental science in the area of molecule dynamics and pump probe experiments (www.bioxfel.org).
